The Honda PCX150 scooter has long been a favorite because it just gets so many things right. Big enough to carry you and a passenger with ease. Small enough to park just about anywhere, zip through traffic, and return some positively astounding fuel efficiency. And this year, we’ve totally revamped the Honda PCX150 2019, making it better in every way!

First, there’s improved engine output, using a design that reduces internal friction and with new intake and exhaust systems to boost power. And that engine is connected to our Honda V-Matic transmission, so there’s no need to shift, ever—just twist the throttle and go. The fuel tank is under the floorboards, for a low center of gravity. And an entirely new steel frame uses a duplex-cradle design rather than the more common “underbone” style for better handling. Plus, the PCX150 is loaded with features like a larger underseat compartment to haul groceries, spare clothing, or almost anything else you need to take along. Also comes standard with Honda’s excellent anti-lock braking system (ABS), a great pick for just about everyone.

For 2019 Honda has reduced the weight and also extracted more power from the 153cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, liquid-cooled SOHC two-valve unit employs a host of low-friction technologies to improve efficiency in terms of output and economy.The overall weight and physical dimensions of the engine have been minimized to allow a greater packaging choice around it for a variety of platforms to come.

A compact combustion chamber, fed fuel/air mixture precisely by PGM-FI fuel injection, optimises burning velocity and cooling performance, tailoring torque characteristics to suit the rpm ranges typically used by a small capacity scooter rider. Smooth and extremely quiet starting is achieved by the electronically-controlled ACG starter and a decompression mechanism that reduces cranking resistance due to compression

The Honda PCX150 scooter is loaded with features, and one of our favorites is the lockable underseat storage area. You also get an integral 12-volt adapter so you can charge your personal electronics.

The Idling Stop Switch is operated via a switch on the right handlebar. When enabled, the engine automatically stops running after three seconds at idle, and re-starts instantly when the throttle grip is twisted. A full function high-tech dash provides a speedo (with a needle that sweeps through its arc on ignition) and fuel gauge, plus indicator for the Idle Stop Switch.
